Overnight Care

Staying away from home doesn't have to be a negative experience for your dog. Find out how you can work with Pawtropolis staff to create the best boarding visit possible.

Our main goal is to provide overnight options to match the needs of every single pet. We know that not all pets are the same. That's why we have a variety of options that can be modified for your pet's unique needs. Please read "Home Away from Home" in the orange box to the right. We want to give you a place where both you and your pet feel comfortable when a boarding need arrives. If you have a shy, quiet dog that is used to laying with you on the couch all day, then maybe the Hotel Suites are the best choice. If you have a young lab that has more energy than you know what to do with, then doggie daycare boarding is the way to go. We pride ourselves by having options that can suite any pet's need. Enjoy the video below then visit our Overnight Options page to find details on each our our boarding accommodations.

“I just wanted to say thank you! We moved to Athens from Indiana in August 2011 where our dog, Bailey, went to doggie daycare 3 to 4 times a week and loved it. Our biggest concern was that we would not be able to find something similar here in Athens. But, then we found you. Bailey, who has endless amounts of energy (yes, we still throw the ball for an hour after he is with you for the day), is now our happy dog again. I know Bailey loves it there because he starts to whine and get excited as we come down the road.”

Home Away From Home

One of the main reasons boarding your pet is normally a stressful experience for both the pet and owner is the dog's lack of familarity with his or her surroundings and care takers. By allowing your dog to participate in our doggie daycare program regularly you build a second home away from home. If your dog isn't a good daycare candidate bringing them in occasionally just to say "hi" or even a quick one night visit goes a long way in making them feel comfortable when they have to board for longer periods of time.

The best thing for your dog is to have more than one place that they feel comfortable. Even pet owners who don't need doggie daycare on a regular basis should try to bring their dog at least a couple times a month. This keeps the dog familar with the staff, the other dogs in playgroups and our facility. This way when they board they are very used to the routine and much less likely to experience anything negative related to stress.
